A few months ago, my good friend Liv asked me for a special custom item. A headband to keep her warm during her fun visits up to Whistler. I decided to knit her a prototype to tie her over for the rest of the season and revisit the pattern a few months later. July came along with sunshine, inspiration and 2 different headbands in multiple yarns and alas, was created the LIVLOVE Headbands!
The LIVLOVE headband is knit flat in a rib stitch pattern. It’s great for an advanced-beginner knitter who is looking to make a stylist headband. It’s easy to read and gauge is flexible with any bulky or super bulky weight yarn, just make sure to change your needle size depending on the yarn weight.
Pattern has 2 widths to choose from and 2 different cable braids! The finished band fits a heads approximately 20-22 inches around. Thin version measures 2.5” wide and thick version measures 3.5” wide.
The multi colored band is knit with bulky yarn and the light brown headband is knit with super bulky baby alpaca from Illimani, yummmmm! There are many different braid you could do, make all the center pieces slightly different to jazz things up for yourself! Perhaps a new made to order item coming your way? What do you think?
